Supported but not working?
Your phone is carrier-locked
Ask your carrier to unlock it — for a fully paid-off phone this is usually free and takes a day or two. Without it, any third-party eSIM will be blocked.
The eSIM slot was already used
Some carriers only allow one eSIM install per device lifetime. If yours was already used, contact Apple or Google support directly to request a slot reset.
Your model variant doesn't include eSIM
Certain models are sold without eSIM in specific markets — Chinese iPhones and some carrier-exclusive Samsung units are common cases. Look up your exact model number on the manufacturer's specs page to confirm.
